My Husband Gave Me to His Best Friend: She Knew the Whole Time
Emily comes out of a crash and pretends she does not recognize her husband. He uses that opening to hand her over to his best friend, and she lets him do it. My Husband Gave Me to His Best Friend is what she was doing while he thought he was getting away with it.
Emily fakes amnesia and lets her husband relax
The crash puts her in a hospital bed. What she does next is deliberate, and she commits to it before anyone can ask her questions. It works better than she could have hoped.
With her recall supposedly gone, her husband William stops performing. She finds out that he has been lying to her, and that the person he has been lying with is her closest friend.
That is the position she is in when he makes his move: a woman who supposedly cannot remember her own marriage, watching her husband relax into the truth. If you like revenge short dramas, Dramafinds has more of them.
William's fix: deny the marriage, supply a replacement
What he is protecting is the affair, and he will pay almost any price to keep it quiet. The price he settles on is a lie big enough to cover everything else.
Then he supplies a replacement. His best friend Dominic is sent in to play the part of Emily's husband, and William steps back to carry on with the woman he is actually seeing.
Emily accepts the arrangement. She does not call it out or leave. She takes the fake husband he is offering and starts gathering what she needs to settle the score. Watch how long she keeps that up in all 40 episodes.
The stand-in means it, and William notices
Dominic is not a convincing liar, because he is not lying. He has been in love with Emily for years, and the role William handed him is one he wanted.
So the fake marriage starts to outgrow the setup. Dominic is patient with her and sincere in a way William never was, which makes the arrangement harder to walk back than anyone planned.
William notices. Watching his friend do the job properly turns his indifference into desperation, and he starts fighting to win back a wife he had already given away. Emily lets that play out too. Neither man was ever running this, because she knew from the start.

A few things viewers ask
Does Emily actually lose her memory?
No. She fakes the amnesia from the moment she comes round, and she keeps the act going for most of the series.
Why does William pretend she is not his wife?
He is covering an affair with her closest friend, and denying the marriage is easier than confessing to it.
What is Dominic's angle?
He has been in love with Emily for years, so the role his friend handed him is one he wanted.
What kind of drama is it?
A revenge story with a marriage at the center. Dramafinds files it under Revenge, Action, Underdog Victory and Marriage.
Does Emily get her revenge?
Yes. She was never fooled, and the ending makes that plain to both men.
Emily spends most of the series being underestimated by two men at once, one of them lying to her and the other not. She collects what she needs, picks her moment, and never tips her hand. The full 40-episode run covers the rest.
