The Warden From Avalon: The Elixir That Could Save the Realm
An elven alchemist has invented something that could save the realm, and everyone with power wants it for themselves. Ronan, newly arrived from Avalon, takes the job of keeping her alive. The complete series follows the two of them through a hunt run by ruthless nobles and dark mages.
Ronan leaves Avalon to guard Lyanna Sylvaris
Lyanna is an elven alchemist. The Everlight Elixir is her invention. Ronan comes to her from Avalon as a bodyguard, a post that starts as protection and turns into something with a much longer reach.
She has the invention and no way to defend it. He has the training and no stake in the realm's politics until he takes the position. Neither of them can do the job alone.
If you like fantasy short dramas built around a bodyguard and a target, the Dramafinds catalogue has more.
The Everlight Elixir makes Lyanna a target
The elixir is the object everyone is chasing. It can save the realm, which makes it worth a fortune, and it gives Lyanna two kinds of enemies. The ruthless nobles want the power it represents, and the dark mages want the knowledge behind it.
That is a great deal of pressure on one invention. Ronan's job is to keep one person and one formula out of the wrong hands while both sides close in.
The chase episodes are where that pressure peaks.
An empire of corruption stands behind the hunt
Protecting Lyanna is only part of the job. Ronan is also digging into his family's buried past, which gives him a reason to keep fighting that has nothing to do with the money or the politics.
By the end, the target is an empire of corruption, a much bigger one than the nobles and dark mages he starts out dodging. You can see how far that reach extends in the final episodes on Dramafinds.
