I Took the Fall for My Husband, but He Gave Our Son a New Mom

Olivia Bennett took the fall for her husband Ethan Parker’s “murder charge.” After being sent to Cancún, her passport was stolen, and she lost contact with her husband and their one-month-old son for five years. After enduring immense hardship, she returned to San Francisco, only to find that her son Leo was already calling Ethan’s former fiancée Claire “Mom.” Ethan was not only living with Claire, but also forcing the physically weak Olivia to give blood transfusions to save her. It was only when she heard Ethan admit it with his own mouth before losing consciousness that she realized the so-called murder case, her exile, and the stolen passport were all a scam. Olivia’s heart died completely. She secretly began processing Mexican immigration paperwork, but was then betrayed by her best friend, besieged by public opinion, hurt by Leo, and hunted by Claire. After the consulate rescued the gravely injured Olivia, she formally ended the marriage and returned to the Palm Bay Hotel she had founded in Cancún. Ethan eventually uncovered the suffering she had endured over those five years, and when he saw Claire harm Leo with his own eyes, he finally began to feel remorse. He chased her to Cancún and begged to reconcile, but Olivia would not look back. The elder Mr. Parker forcibly took Ethan away and arranged a marriage alliance for him. Ethan ran away on the wedding day, plunging the Parker Group into public relations, partnership, and compensation crises, and the elder Mr. Parker died of a sudden cerebral infarction as a result. After losing his father, his career, and his healthy son, Ethan completely collapsed, and in the end he and Leo fell into the river below a cliff. When Olivia heard the news, she simply turned off the television and went on to embrace the life that truly belonged to her.
