I Drowned and My Lieutenant Colonel Husband Broke Down in Tears

"Stella’s husband, Lucas Bennett, hid her college acceptance letter and took control of the money set aside for her education. He also spent years punishing her because he blamed her for the death of Chloe, the woman he had always loved. In Stella’s previous life, she was wrongly convicted and repeatedly lost her unborn children. In the end, she died while Lucas coldly watched and did nothing to save her. Stella was reborn on the day Chloe returned. She finally learned that her marriage to Lucas had never been legally registered. She also realized that Lucas had deliberately destroyed every opportunity she had to build a better life. This time, Stella no longer fought for his love. She applied for a place in an advanced defense manufacturing program and secretly planned her escape. However, Lucas once again took away her opportunity. He also held her against her will and framed her for crimes she did not commit. With no other way out, Stella turned to Sullivan for help. She jumped into the Hudson River and faked her own death. When Lucas recognized her bloodstained clothes on the riverbank, he fell to his knees and cried. Meanwhile, an investigation into forged documents, the misuse of military resources, and unlawful imprisonment dragged both Lucas and Chloe toward ruin. After escaping, Stella returned to college and began working in a laboratory. Her talent earned her a place in a national research program. With Sullivan by her side, she also found a healthy relationship built on love, respect, and equality. Years later, Stella returned to New York as a scientist, professor, wife, and mother. When Lucas finally expressed his regret, she neither forgave him nor looked back. She simply continued moving forward with the life that truly belonged to her. "
