Newlywed Trap

The once-dominant maritime tycoon of Haicheng, Lin Yuan, on the brink of retirement, was joyfully preparing for his wedding. He had planned to gift his fiancée, Xu Yuanyuan, an eighty-million-yuan company as a token of his devotion, intending to step away from the cutthroat world of maritime trade and live a peaceful life. However, a shocking discovery shattered his dreams. The outwardly sweet and caring Xu Yuanyuan was, in truth, a venomous schemer. She had long been colluding with her former lover, Huang Saifei, and the two had been secretly drugging Lin Yuan over an extended period, plotting to kill him and seize his entire fortune. Upon uncovering the truth, Lin Yuan suppressed his fury and devised an elaborate plan to punish the greedy conspirators. On the day of the wedding, he orchestrated events so that the guests would catch Xu Yuanyuan and Huang Saifei exposed in their sordid betrayal. Step by step, he released clues to sow discord within the Xu family. Blinded by the allure of millions, Xu Yuanyuan's family sold their home and begged friends and family for loans with steep interest to raise funds to unlock frozen assets, unaware they were walking straight into Lin Yuan's carefully laid trap. What followed was a vicious dog-eat-dog spectacle. Huang Saifei, Xu Yuanyuan, her siblings, and their mother turned on one another, torn apart by mutual distrust and ruthless scheming. Their infighting escalated into a farcical drama, with schemes of fraud and even deliberate harm emerging as they scrambled to outmaneuver each other. Lin Yuan seized the opportunity to expose the full extent of their crimes and reveal their staggering debts. In the end, Xu Yuanyuan found herself abandoned by her family, who exploited her to settle their debts. Burdened by crushing debt and ravaged by illness, she died in misery. Huang Saifei met his end at the hands of Xu Yuanyuan's siblings in a violent altercation, while the siblings themselves were brought to justice for their crimes of fraud and assault. As the storm subsided, Lin Yuan emerged triumphant, having settled all his scores. He reclaimed his role as the fearless leader of Haicheng's maritime empire, once again taking the helm of his formidable enterprise.
