A Debt of Heads

Set in the late 19th-century Scottish Highlands, pragmatic tenant farmer Malcolm meets the mysterious wanderer Alistair in a foggy alder forest and is entrusted with a bag of ancient land deeds. Teaming up with upright lawyer Samuel, they fight greedy land developers, uncover a century-old family covenant, defend their homeland, and settle a timeless debt of honor.
