Decades after the World Tree War, ex-Dragon God Nidhogg lives quietly in hiding with his daughter Fennica. She's trapped in an arranged marriage, where her groom Joss drains her dragon blood. On their wedding day, Joss takes all her blood and leaves her comatose. Enraged, Nidhogg sheds his disguise, fighting to rescue his daughter.
