Grayson serves as head chef at Aroma House for ten years before being humiliated and fired by owner Wilma and director Zane, who push industrial additives over traditional cooking. He opens a small stall across the street, using his master stock to regain customers. As Aroma House collapses due to safety issues and poor taste, Wilma becomes a dishwasher and Zane is disgraced. Grayson makes a comeback through skill and integrity, becoming a city culinary legend.
